JapanHop ("we") arranges private passenger transport in Japan, performed by independent, licensed (green-plate) transport operators ("partners"). We are a booking agent; the transport contract is performed by the partner.
A booking is confirmed when we send you a written confirmation with price, pickup time and place. Please check it; errors should be reported before the day of travel.
Prices are quoted in USD per vehicle and include driver, fuel, tolls and parking unless stated. Payment is due after the ride by card link, QR code or cash in yen. Card payments are converted at the processor's rate on the day.
Airport pickups include 90 minutes of waiting after actual landing; other pickups include 15 minutes. Additional waiting is charged at $35 per hour, pro rata. Changes requested before pickup are free where a partner can accommodate them.
Seat belts and child seats must be used as required by Japanese law. Drivers may refuse carriage to intoxicated or abusive passengers without refund. Smoking is not permitted in vehicles.
Partners carry passenger liability insurance as required by law. We are not liable for delays caused by weather, traffic, road closures or force majeure, nor for missed flights or connections; please allow sensible buffers. Our liability as agent is limited to the amount paid for the booking.
These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Disputes are subject to the courts of Tokyo.
